COVID-19

CAREGIVING IN COVID-19

+ How can I protect my family if I am caring for clients / patients who may have COVID-19?

Patients may still transmit COVID-19 even if they don't show any symptoms.

  • Limit your contact with patients. Only one healthy person should provide care.
  • Do not share personal items with patients, and use separate bathrooms.
  • Wear a mask, disposable gloves and eye protection.
  • Clean your hands with soap or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer (at least 60%).

+ I work shifts. Who can look after my children in the evenings and on weekends?

In the events where you work shifts and are unable to take care / supervise your child, you may want to opt for childcare services (such as daycare). Click here for an article from Very Well Family which offers some helpful ideas.
